Straightforward terms

What to know before you inquire.

Our marina is personal and professionally managed. These essentials will help us determine whether Barefoot Bay is the right fit for you and your vessel.

01

Flexible monthly leases

All slips are leased month to month. Rent is paid in advance, with a security deposit equal to one month’s rent and one month’s written notice to vacate.

02

Vessel approval & photos

Current exterior photos are required with every application. Project boats are not accepted: engines must run reliably, and every vessel must be seaworthy, well maintained and capable of operating under its own power at all times.

03

Insurance required

Current marine insurance is required before occupancy, including at least $300,000 in liability coverage plus wreck-removal and pollution liability.

04

A quiet, pet-free community

Dogs and cats are not permitted at the marina, with an exception for service animals as required by law. Vessels must remain seaworthy, docks clean and unobstructed, and all tenants and guests must follow marina safety, environmental and quiet-hours rules.

Pet-free marina

Dogs and cats are not permitted at Barefoot Bay Marina. Service animals are welcome as required by law. This policy helps maintain a quiet, comfortable environment for all tenants and guests.

No project boats

All vessels are subject to management approval before berthing. Engines and essential systems must operate without issue, and vessels must remain seaworthy and properly maintained throughout their stay.

Applicant screening

All wet-slip and liveaboard applicants must successfully complete a background check before approval is issued. A $50 non-refundable application fee is required.

Parking is not provided

Barefoot Bay Marina does not provide tenant parking. Marina tenants are responsible for arranging their own parking; several independent parking options are located nearby on Clearwater Beach.

Storm preparedness

Tenants are responsible for securing or removing their vessels during storms. Barefoot Bay Marina is not a hurricane shelter or guaranteed safe harbor.
